An award winning folk singer, longrunning Twin Cities Americana band, foot stompin' duo and Balkan jazz band can all be found around the area this week. Read on for more information!
Rachael Kilgour is Duluth-based folk singer-songwriter coming to the CoHaus in Grand Rapids this Thursday. She is a 2025 McKnight Music Fellow and is currently touring Northern Minnesota behind her latest album My Father Loved Me. It explores her relationship with her late father, who was diagnosed with dementia before his death. Music begins at 7:30 p.m.

On Friday, J Bell and the Lazy Susan Band are playing The Terrace in downtown Aitkin. They are an American and rock 'n' roll band who have released six albums since forming in 2021. Their sound features a horn section, B-3 Hammond and twangy guitars. 7 p.m.
The Bugle Boys are an offshoot of Clay Fulton & The Lost Forty, featuring vocalist/guitarist Fulton and his drummer Nick Novotny. As The Bugle Boys, they play foot stompin' and bluesy versions of Lost Forty songs alongside rowdy covers. This Saturday, the duo is playing at Smoke on the Water in Coleraine at 6 p.m.
Finally, Sam Miltich & Friends are bringing their jazzy take on Balkan and eastern European folk music to the Edge Center for the Arts in Bigfork, Saturday at 7 p.m. Miletići: New Music From The Old Country will feature sounds that Miltich explored on his 2019 album Peasants With Torches.
