Nothing but festivals on this edition of the Setlist. From fish to art to international music, three regional festivals will feature live music this weekend.
Beginning in Nevis, the Muskie Days Music Festival is on Friday and Saturday under the water tower. On Friday, music begins at 4:30 p.m. with Leech Lake folk singer Annie Humphrey. She just won a Native American Music Award for her latest album, The Light in my Bones. Joining her Friday are David Huckfelt, Rootz Within and more. On Saturday, music begins at noon with a lineup including jam bands Kitchi Boogie and Saltydog, folk-blues favorite Charlie Parr and more.
In Duluth, the 19th annual Reggae & World Music Festival is Saturday at Bayfront Festival Park. The lineup features lovers rock singer Romain Virgo, reggae and dancehall singer Charly Black, Nigerian pop singer Timaya, roots reggae band Culture and more. Doors open at 3 p.m., and in addition to the music there will be a variety of international food vendors.
The Watermark Art Festival is Saturday and Sunday in Bemidji with live music both days beginning at 10:30 a.m. Eleven performers are scheduled over the two days, including The International Treasures, Serotiny, Caige Jambor and Two Hearted Trio. The festival takes place at the Watermark Art Center and Library Park.
