Kick It With KAXE returns, local musicians celebrate Bob Dylan's birthday and more on this week's The Setlist!
KAXE is hosting Molly Maher and Woodblind with Teague Alexy this Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at Rapids Brewing Co. in Grand Rapids for Kick It with KAXE, our annual meeting and volunteer appreciation party.
Maher is a bluesy and authentic Americana singer-songwriter with a top-notch band that includes Erik Koskinen on guitar. Woodblind and Teague Alexy are Duluth musicians who recently released a collaborative album, showcasing Alexy's songs with the ska and reggae sounds of Woodblind.
On Friday, Greg Tiburzi and Paul Seeba are playing a Bob Dylan tribute show at Boomtown in Hibbing with music at 7 p.m. Dylan's birthday is on Saturday, and Tiburzi and Seeba will play another Boomtown show that day at 3:30 p.m.
Also Friday night, indie-pop musician Wayward will be at Brigid's in Bemidji at 8 p.m. The musical project of Jonathan Edwards, Wayward has released one album, Happiness, in 2023.
Aurora Baer is a folk singer-songwriter with a background in punk and alt-rock music. She is playing the Cana Wine Bar in Crosby this Saturday at 5 p.m. Her music features personal, gritty and honest songwriting.
