KAXE's weekly list of concerts features Drew Peterson, Clay Fulton & The Lost Forty, the Watermark Art Festival and Jamie Lin Wilson & Courtney Patton.

You can find blues, folk, rock, country and more around the area this weekend. The Setlist has shows in Gilbert, Grand Rapids, Bemidji and Aitkin.

Steel guitar player Drew Peterson will bring his folk and blues to The Ore House in Gilbert this Friday. Peterson formerly fronted Minnesota bands 40 Watt Bulb and Dead Pigeons and has released one solo album: St. Jude, a duck, and the crooked line. Music begins at 7 p.m.

Minnesota folk musician Drew Peterson joined Centerstage Minnesota to play a couple songs and chat with host Malachy Koons.

At the same time, roots rockers Clay Fulton & The Lost Forty will be at Rapids Brewing Company in Grand Rapids. Formed in 2021 in Rochester, the band has released two albums and features Fulton's folk and indie-rock songwriting.

This Saturday and Sunday there will be multiple artists performing at the Watermark Art Festival in Bemidji. Music begins both days at 10:30 a.m. and will feature The International Treasures, Caige Jambor, Mauro Gutierrez and more. The festival takes place outside the Watermark Art Center in downtown Bemidji.

Malachy started his radio career at a college radio station, where he played weird music in the middle of the night to possibly no one. On a good night maybe his parents were listening. Nonetheless, he was hooked on public radio and is still doing it today. He joined Northern Community Radio in 2022, where he gets to share his passion for local music as Producer of Centerstage Minnesota, an all Minnesota music show airing Fridays at 2pm.
