Summer concert season is picking up and so is The Setlist. This week we're highlighting six shows in six cities: Park Rapids, Walker, Nisswa, Grand Rapids, Bemidji and Aitkin.
The 2nd Street Stage Summer Concert Series continues this Thursday in Park Rapids with Mae Simpson. The rising Minnesota singer with a huge voice and funky band will take the stage at 6 p.m.

On Friday, a Los Angeles-based pop singer originally from Fargo is on a mini-tour across Northern Minnesota. Jessica Vines, a jazzy singer whose sound nods to artists like Amy Winehouse and Lake Street Dive, will be at Portage Brewing in Walker at 5 p.m.
The first of three highlighted Saturday shows on The Setlist this week is Eric Cyr at Roundhouse Brewery in Nisswa at 1 p.m. A lyrical indie-folk singer-songwriter from Duluth, Cyr also leads the band Cyr & The Cosmonauts.
In Grand Rapids, blues guitarist Lonesome Dan Kase will play Rapids Brewing Company at 6 p.m. Saturday evening. His authentic folk-blues sound features blues, rags and boogies.
Longtime Northern Minnesota songwriter Lance Benson is performing Saturday night at Lake Bemidji State Park in Bemidji. Part of the park's "Music Under the Pines" series, the show begins at 7 p.m. Benson released a new single "Nothing To Write Home About" in April.
We're looking early into next week for the final featured show here on The Setlist. Colin Bracewell is a young indie-pop singer from Minneapolis who draws inspiration from artists like Bon Iver and Frank Ocean. He and his band are playing Sampaguita in Aitkin on Monday. Doors open at 6 p.m. with music at 7 p.m.
