The Setlist this week has four free featured events spread over four days in Park Rapids, Britt, Grand Rapids and Bemidji.
Minneapolis blues-rock band The 4onthefloor kicks off the 2nd Street Stage summer concert series in Park Rapids on Thursday. The series continues every Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and features a lineup that includes Mae Simpson, Pert Near Sandstone, Jillian Rae, The Federales and more.
Longtime KAXE legend Conga Se Menne is best known as the Upper Peninsula's finest, best and maybe only Finnish reggae band. Formed in 1994 by Derrell Syria, the band blends Syria's original songs with arrangements using elements of both traditional Finnish music and Jamaican reggae. Conga Se Menne will bring that signature mix to The Wooden Table Inn in Britt at 7 p.m. Friday.
The 35th Annual Bluegrass Weekend Music in the Pines returns Friday through Sunday at the Itasca County Fairgrounds in Grand Rapids. Hosted by Not Necessarily Bluegrass, the weekend is open to all, offering a longstanding tradition of jamming and communing with fellow bluegrass and music lovers.
On Saturday, take five with Sam Miltich and the Clearwater Hot Club, who return to Brigid's Pub in Bemidji with their top-notch trademark hot club-style jazz at 6 p.m.
