This week's live music spotlight includes jazz, blues, and rock in Grand Rapids, Gilbert, Park Rapids and Bemidji. Thursday and Friday have one show each and three are on Saturday.
Jazz guitarist Sam Miltich is continuing his duets series at Rapids Brewing Co. this Thursday at 6 p.m. Joining him will be Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe singer Leah Lemm.
On to Friday, roots rock trio The Christopher David Hanson Band are playing at The Ore House in Gilbert at 8 p.m. The always busy Hanson also plays solo and with the folk group Woodsong Souvenir.
Grant Edwards, who often performs solo around the area, will be playing with his group The Hungry Ghosts at Rapids Brewing Co. at 6 p.m. Saturday. The band also features Bob and Alan Carlson.
Over in Park Rapids, husband and wife duo In Stereo will be at Revel Brewing at 6 p.m.
Our final featured show is part of the 3rd Annual Birchmont Bash at Ruttger's Birchmont Lodge in Bemidji. Saturday evening will see two groups, The Lonely Loons Club and Corey Medina & Brothers, playing at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. respectively.
