BREEZY POINT — One person was found dead following a house fire Saturday, March 14, in Breezy Point.
A passerby reported the fire on the 7000 block of Dove Street just after 10 a.m., according to a news release from the Pequot Lakes Fire District.
The Pequot Lakes Fire District and Breezy Point Police Department arrived to find a fire burning a single-family home.
The victim was identified Monday as 81-year-old Nancy Zimmer.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the state Fire Marshal's Office, in cooperation with Breezy police and Pequot Lakes firefighters.
The Crosslake, Nisswa and Ideal fire departments; Pequot Lakes and Nisswa police departments, Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office and North Memorial Health Ambulance assisted at the scene.
