BRAINERD — Small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs in the Brainerd lakes area will have more opportunities to discuss the nitty-gritty of business with the third year of Entrepreneurs on Tap.
The networking and learning series includes a facilitated discussion on a new topic at each event, like preparing for tourism season and employee training.
"Entrepreneurs on Tap has become something special," stated Katie Heppner, regional director of Central Lakes College's North Central Small Business Development Center.
"It brings people together across industries, experience levels, and communities. Heading into our third year, we're seeing small business owners return month after month because the conversations are honest, useful, and grounded in what it actually takes to run a business."
All events are 5-6:30 p.m. The spring 2026 series includes five sessions at rotating locations:
- Jan. 14: Last Turn Brew Pub, Brainerd, paid leave and business insurance
- Feb. 11: Jack Pine Brewery, Baxter, answer engine optimization
- March 18: Snarky Loon Brewing, Jenkins, business tax prep basics
- April 8: Cuyuna Brewing Co., Crosby, employee training resources
- May 6: Up North Social, Crosslake, preparing for tourism season
The events are open to aspiring entrepreneurs, startups and established small business owners.
Entrepreneurs on Tap is put on by the Brainerd Lakes Area Economic Development Corp. and the North Central Small Business Development Center.
