Free health fair set for Nov. 24 in Grand Rapids

Grand Itasca and several partners are putting on the event at the YMCA, which includes breast health education, bone density screening and memory assessment.

GRAND RAPIDS — The community is invited to a free health fair at the Itasca County Family YMCA Active Living Center from 2-5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24.

The event is organized by several local organizations and offers a chance to check in on your health, learn about wellness resources and connect with local health partners.

No appointment is necessary, and there is no cost to participate.

Several screenings and assessments will be available, including ones for lipids and blood glucose, blood pressure, balance and grip strength, bone density, hearing and memory.

There will also be information on breast health, community resources and mental health and resiliency strategies.

Grand Itasca, Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging, First Call 211, Fairview, Alzheimer's Association, Minnesota Aging Pathways, the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy, the YMCA, Itasca County Public Health, the Grand Rapids Area of National Alliance on Mental Illness and ElderCircle are all part of the event.
