BEMIDJI — Beltrami County is leading a damage survey to determine eligibility for a loan program from the Small Business Administration.
Partnering with Minnesota Homeland Security and Emergency Management, emergency managers from Beltrami and the city of Bemidji are collecting information on private properties that sustained 40% of their fair market value in uninsured damages during the June 21 severe storms.
Potential eligible applicants include primary residential properties, businesses, apartments, mobile homes and home businesses.
"Completion of this survey is to assist in determining Beltrami County's eligibility to participate in the Small Business Administration loan program and does not guarantee or imply assistance will be available," stated the county in a Facebook announcement.
Field surveys will start Tuesday, Sept. 23, with crews going door to door in impacted areas to assess damage.
An online survey to determine eligibility is available on the county’s website.
