BEMIDJI — The United Way of Bemidji Area will launch its 2025 Campaign for the Community on Wednesday, Sept. 17, with a communitywide Live United Day.
On Live United Day, United Way invites the community to come together and give back in ways that are personally meaningful.
Local businesses can join the celebration by signing up for a Live United kit, which will be delivered directly to their business. Each kit includes signage, posters, merchandise options and brochures to engage employees and customers. People can reserve kits through Tuesday at unitedwaybemidji.org.
“Each year, United Way of Bemidji Area brings our community together to create lasting change, and it all starts with you,” stated Executive Director Denae Alamano in a news release.
“Your donation to United Way’s Campaign for the Community supports a network of carefully vetted, local nonprofits working every day to build financial stability, a healthy community, and strong youth opportunities.”
The United Way noted that mission was put to the test this summer when the June 21 windstorm struck the Bemidji area. Within 24 hours, United Way launched a Disaster Relief Fund, mobilized more than 1,000 volunteers and partnered with local organizations to meet urgent needs, including cleanup, emergency supplies, food, shelter and long-term recovery.
This rapid response was only possible because of donors who support United Way year-round, the organization stated.
