NETT LAKE — The Bois Forte Band of Chippewa wants to change the month of its annual State of the Band.
The Bois Forte bylaws require the Tribal Council chairperson to report on the State of the Band each January. But the Council said band members would prefer the state of the band to be in March.
The change requires an amendment to the bylaws. Proposed amendments are open for public comment.
The comment period ends Friday, June 27.
Comments can be submitted online or to the Council's executive assistant in person or by email.
