WADENA — The Minnesota Department of Transportation will also host a kickoff meeting June 2 for the start of a three-year project in Wadena.
The $52 million project will expand Highway 10 through the city to four lanes, plus resurface and improve highways 29 and 71.
Prep work is already underway, and next month through this fall, crews will work on 10 west of 71 and on 71 north of 10.
When completed in August 2027, there will be a smoother, stronger and expanded highway; improved safety, access and traffic flow through Wadena; and updated underground infrastructure and city utilities.

The drop-in style meeting is 5-7 p.m. June 2 at the Maslowski Wellness and Research Center. The project team will be available to share information on this year's work plans and impacts, including a timeline and detours.
