Our spring membership drive week was packed with great music and conversations, stories from our award-winning news team, and the voices of many beloved volunteers. After federal funding was revoked in 2025, the future was uncertain for KAXE/KBXE. We weren't sure if there would be another spring membership drive, let alone another birthday. But because of you, our members, we're still here and stronger than ever! We are grateful to all of you and we are happy to report we exceeded our spring fundraising goal of $50,000!
On April 23, 2026, KAXE turned 50 years old. The outpouring of stories and comments from members, DJs, and former staff made this big birthday unforgettable. We enjoyed 50th birthday celebrations at both studios and a storytelling event at Klockow Brewing, where voices from KAXE's past and present united to share how this radio community has touched their lives.
Members have made each one of these years possible.
