Steve Purdum is owner and director of Camp Mishawaka, located on the shores of Pokegama Lake in Grand Rapids. Steve joins John on the Thursday Morning Show to talk about the suspended operations they underwent during the pandemic. Camp Mishawaka is a traditional residential summer camp offering two, four, six and eight week sessions for boys and girls ages 8 to 16. The camp has been operating since 1910 with this being the first closed season since opening. Steve talks about the unknowns they faced during these times, the ability they had to keep some staff on to work on projects and the plans they are making to hopefully open the doors next summer.
