Flights for Bats with Tasha Klockow and Mark Jacobs

Our local forest bat population is being decimated to near extinction by white nose syndrome.  The northern long eared bat, once common in MN forests, is now on the endangered species list.  Bats are major predators for flying insect pests that attack our forests and us.

Forest to Tap Breweries in northern Minnesota are hosting FLIGHT FOR BATS WEEKOctober 24th-31st.  When you buy a flight of locally produced beer from area breweries a portion benefits Bat Conservation International.

Breweries include Klockow Brewing in Grand Rapids, 14 Lakes Brewery in Cross Lake, Big Axe Brewing in Nisswa, Block North Brewery in Aitkin and Jack Pine Brewery in Baxter.

This is part of a Forest to Tap Event promoting forests, water and beer.
