Christopher Ingraham's book about his family's move to MN: "If You Lived Here You'd Be Home By Now"

It was supposed to be a light, funny story, but Minnesotans didn’t see it that way. A data reporter for the Washington Post found some statistics from the USDA which ranked Red Lake County in northwest Minnesota the “worst place to live in America.” He wrote a story about it. It went viral. Minnesotans were not pleased and they let him know it.

Christopher Ingraham is that reporter, and the rest of the story is told in his book If You Lived Here You'd Be Home By Now: why we traded the commuting life for a little house on the prairie. That’s right. After an invitation and subsequent visit to Red Lake Falls, Christopher, his wife Briana, their twin sons, a dog, and a cat moved from the east coast 1400 miles to the small town in Minnesota.
