The Missing Link: Edge Center For the Art Original Film

And then we did some brainstorming. Michaela and I ... we kind of came up with some basic ideas for the group to take and run with, and they said, you know, that's a good idea! Go right ahead! Covid shuttered venues across the land over the past year.  The Edge Center for the Arts came up with a creative way to engage their audiences.  The Missing Link is a farcical comedy mystery created by Val Conner and Michaela Raymond.  They spoke with us on the morning show about how they came up with the idea and what they love about performing.

Heidi Holtan has worked at KAXE/KBXE for over 20 years. She currently helms the Morning Show as News and Public Affairs Director. Heidi is a regional correspondent for WDSE/WRPT's Duluth Public Television’s Almanac North. In 2018 Heidi received the “Building Bridges in Media” award from the Islamic Resource Group for her work on KAXE/KBXE hosting conversations about anti-Muslim movements in rural Minnesota.
Katie Carter started at Northern Community Radio in 2008 as Managing Editor of the station's grant-funded, online news experiment Northern Community Internet. Since 2016, she's produced Area Voices showcasing the arts, culture, and history stories of northern Minnesota. She's our local host of NPR's All Things Considered and CBC's As It Happens every weekday from 4-7pm.
