Area Voices: David Brandvik, She-Ra, and an Emmy

...  Making films and doing commercials takes a lot of energy and a lot of coordination.  To put that energy into something that I really believe in and really speaks to my children... that definitely made a difference.  It was more rewarding... - David Brandvik

David Brandvik’s production company Thinker Feelercreates film and video content for a wide range of clients including Mastercard, The Late Show with James Corden, and Disney.  He recently won an Emmy for a video he directed that was part of a brand campaign promoting International Women’s Day.  The short film showcases the perspectives of four girls inspired by the animation “She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.”  The father of three daughters himself, this project was more personal than some and his girls were over the moon when they discovered dad won the Emmy.  Brandvik spoke on the morning show about the project and his journey in filmmaking.
