The Ely Folk School has been up and running since 2015. It's quickly become a community gathering space that feels like it's simply always been there. Offering a wide variety of classes including and certainly not limited to blacksmithing, quilting, felting, canoe building, and potica making, the folk school is bringing the ways of the past into the current day, preserving skills from yesterday and ensuring their place in the future. Molly Olson served on the board of directors of the Folk School for two years. She adores the folk school and the town of Ely. In this segment of Let's Visit, Molly talks about why she and her husband moved their family to Ely from Wisconsin and why she is head over heals in love with the folk school!
