Contemporary Native Artist Kent Estey grew up on the White Earth reservation. He's lived on the same land for 58 years, teaches art, technology and robotics at the charter school in Naytahwaush and is an accomplished abstract artist. His work is part of a collaborative show at the Miikanan Gallery inside the Watermark Art Center in Bemidji. The exhibit will be on display now thru March 30. Estey will attend an artist reception tonight (January 11th) from 5-7pm. He'll return to the Watermark February 7th to give an artist talk called "Picking Sweetgrass with Ma."
