As we suspected, much is happening across northern Minnesota... In Grand Rapids you can catch jazz at the VFW, author Katy Tessman will be reading her children's book Our Mama is a Beautiful Garden at the Village Bookstore and the MacRostie Art Center will be showing the work of Douglas Ross, Linda Snouffer, Nancy Bundy and David Luke. Bemidji's first Friday events include an artist reception for Native artists Gordon Coons and Anna Johnson with a special artist talk at 6pm at the Watermark Art Center and open mic night at Headwaters School of Music and Arts.
