First Friday Cavalcade of Arts

On the first Friday of every month, we connect with three women around the listening area who help us discover the arts and cultural happenings across the KAXE/KBXE region. Katie Marshall from the MacRostie Art Center in Grand Rapids told us all about the events in downtown Grand Rapids.  Molly Olson from the Ely Folk School phoned in to chat about the Blueberry Festival happening later this month in Ely as well as other classes and events going on in the area.  Area Voices producer Katie Carter told us about the upcoming Art in the Park in Bemidji, a special, upcoming arts event at the Nemeth Art Center in Park Rapids and the new show opening later this month at the Crossing Arts Alliance in Brainerd.  We live in an area rich in creative forces!  Hope you were able to take in some first Friday fun and if not, we hope you can catch some of the upcoming events.  July is packed with options!
