Bemidji Community Theater Book Drive: Playing it Forward

For several years now,  Bemidji Community Theater(BCT) has payed, eh em, played it forward with various projects supporting local and nationwide causes includingLocks of Love, an elephant sanctuary, the MN Children's Hospital, Evergreen Youth and Family Services, and the Bemidji Community Food Shelf.   Their next production is a children's show called the Elves and the Shoemaker.  Between now and opening night in April, BCT is collecting gently used books for kids ranging from kindergarten through 8th grade.  The goal is 3,000 books, one for each child attending the shows.  BCTBoard Secretary Kristine Cannon stopped by the studio to talk about the endeavor and much more about the BCT experience.

Gently used books can be dropped off at Gallery North in Bemidji or with any board member.
