The Ely Folk School builds community by providing learning experiences that celebrate the wilderness, heritage, art, history, culture and craft of the people of northern Minnesota. We check in with Molly Olson from the Ely Folk School on the first Friday of each month and she tips us off on the upcoming events.
December is shaping up to be a busy month at the school. It kicks off tomorrow with a porcupine ball ornament class, a wreath making class, and a beaver hide sewing class. Tomorrow night (Saturday, December 2), the Folk School hosts a holiday fundraising party complete with a silent auction that includes items created by the Folk School instructors. Throughout the month, several other educational and community building events are going on, including a sweater knitting class, mince meat pie class, stained glass class, book building and more... Molly told us about several of the upcoming events on the morning show today!
