BEMIDJI — Headwaters Music & Arts is offering an eight-session Mini Musician program for children ages 2 to 4 years old and their accompanying adult.

Led by Suzuki-trained music teacher Julia Anderson, the class will be 10:30-11:15 a.m. Wednesdays from March 15 to May 17, with no session on April 5, 26 or May 10. The program will be at Headwaters Music & Arts, 519 Minnesota Ave NW.

The Mini Musician program is designed to introduce children to music basics in a fun and engaging way. Participants will explore sound and the building blocks of music, including pitch, rhythm, and tempo through group circle time, movement-oriented songs, hands-on learning centers, games and stories.

The program will also provide an opportunity to learn about different instruments and styles of music. Creative crafts linked to the theme of the day’s lessons will provide an opportunity to engage all of the senses, organizers stated.

Each child must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or other special adult. The cost is $150 per child-adult pair, with a fee of $75 for additional siblings. Financial assistance is available.

Advance registration is required as space is limited. Visit headwatersmusicandarts.org for more information.
