Album of the Week: Ozomatli's Marching On
Marching On is Ozomatli’s 9th studio album, and their first since 2017’s critically acclaimed Nonstop: Mexico to Jamaica.
Formed in Los Angeles around 1995, the band has enjoyed three Grammy wins since their eponymous debut album in 1998.
Throughout their 27 years they have toured extensively, bringing their unique fusion of eclectic world sounds and activism to ecstatic audiences around the world.
Marching On was recorded mostly at the Sonic Ranch residential recording studio, an idyllic setting 30 miles outside of El Paso, Texas on the Rio Grande.
Currently on tour in support of Marching On, Ozo’s closest Minnesota stop will be Milwaukee on September 22nd.
