Channeling the sound of a vintage country Nashville singer-songwriter, Erin Rae is out with her third album, Lighten Up. That sound is not by accident, as Rae was raised in Nashville and received musical mentorship from her mom's friend, and country singer-songwriter Kathy Mattea, who is known as one of Nashville's 'finest song interpreters'.
Produced by Jonathan Wilson (longtime musical partner to Father John Misty), the album speaks to finding personal growth and acceptance in the rubble that is left after the past two years.
