The Klaxons: Piano-Pop in a 'New Rave'

The British press has credited The Klaxons with pioneering a genre called "new rave," which is really a mask for a heavy-handed dose of pop with a dance-punk kick. The band has much more in common with the danceable pop side of Gary Numan and David Bowie than the angular guitar-rock of Wire or Gang of Four.

The Klaxons' debut album, Myths of the Near Future, was released early last year. Here, the band performs its hit single "Golden Skans" on MPR's The Current.
