After 20 years and 10 studio albums, the Indigo Girls are still speaking out, musically and politically. And they say they found new energy with their latest CD, Despite Our Differences.
Band members Amy Ray and Emily Saliers are known as passionate singer-songwriters whose music features intelligent lyrics and intricate harmonies. They characterize their music as "folk music with angst," and say they are political activists first and performers second.
