Every week we hear from Minnesota school kids and regular listeners as they call or email us with their nature observations. The phenological data we gathered this week indicates that weatherwise, as Dylan says, "the times they are a'changin." We received nine school reports and four reports from adult listeners. Everyone is reporting animal activity out in nature that indicates spring is on its way.

Clean swift strokes I take
White shiny tracks I follow
Warming house is close
Graceful pinecones move
But yet they will not fall down
What is up with that?
Three were in the front
Epic adventure happened
Then some socks fell off
The birds were singing
And the trees had a shadow
And the birds were quiet
And the trees had snow on them
Icicles form down
Dripping down to the dry ground
Freezes against me
Trees rustle in the wind
I stop and see the leaves float
Beauty on the wind
The clouds were fluffy
The snow was crunchy and white
The birds were singing
As the leaves crinkle
The branches move in the wind
A tree stands alone
Sunbeams shine bright
Sparkly icicles hang
Winter is so great
