Phenology Talkbacks: 3/16/21

Phenology is the rhythmic biological nature of events as they relate to climate. Phenology Talkbacks are an opportunity for us to hear what you are noticing outside.  We heard from two classrooms this week and we heard a fun story about Harry Hutchins from Ed Dallas... Enjoy.

Kids at Pike Lake Elementary noted slushy hikes and a chicken standing her ground with a doe and her yearlings.

North Shore Community School students reported rivers breaking up and  cement-like snow.

And, Ed Dallas called in to share a memory of his daughter, John Latimer, and Harry Hutchins dissecting owl pellets on the kitchen table. She's now a doctor. :-)
