Annuals: A Little Country, A Little Calypso

If youthful exuberance were a commodity, everyone would be investing in Annuals. The North Carolina sextet has gained a loyal following across the U.S. for its energetic live shows, in which fans don't just sing along -- they shout at the top of their lungs. Annuals' albums are full of boisterous, whimsical pop, with just a twist of twang, which gives the band's songs a down-home feel. On the group's new EP, Sweet Sister, it's introduced a bit of a Latin sound, making the proceedings even more of a party.

Annuals recently stopped by KUT's Studio 1A and let us know about future album plans, life on the road (which is not so bad, apparently), where the new Latin flavor came from, and staying connected to the world at large.
