Sam Roberts: Songs For 'The End Of The World'

After winning a Juno Award for We Were Born in a Flame in 2003, Sam Roberts has gone nowhere but up. The Canadian rocker started as a self-recorded singer-songwriter and quickly found himself one of the country's biggest exports. Here, Roberts tells World Cafe host David Dye how his frequent traveling influenced his new album, Love at the End of the World.

The new record is a riff-filled look at social inequality. Released late last year, its rootsy and radio-friendly feel helped push it to the top of the Canadian charts.
