The Creative Spirit Fiber Festivalkicks off tomorrow night and continues all day Saturday at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Bemidji. Fiber artists Lori Forshee-Donnay and Bonnie Lundorff stopped by the studio to tell us all about it. Forshee-Donnay is Executive Director of the Watermark Art Center in Bemidji and Lundorff owns and operates Willow Wood Market just outside of Bemidji. They've joined forces for the past several years to create an event where basket weavers, quilters, knitters, rug hookers, felters and many other kinds of fabric and fiber artists gather together to learn new skills, show and sell their works, get inspired and just have fun. Classes Friday are filled, but the public event starts at 8:30 Saturday morning and a number of classes will be offered on a first come first serve basis throughout the day.
