Today we get a chance to hear from our friends Nana Boozhoo and Natasha and another edition of the podcast about Ojibwe language and culture.  Today we learn DOG.  And we learn about Michael Lyons book "DOG AND MA'IINGAN".

our supercouple!!!!

Today we learned the Ojibwe word for blueberry pie.  Mmmm, blueberry pie!

Michael Lyons is the mastermind behind our favorite Ojibwe puppet couple - Nana Boozhoo and Natasha.  Today they taught us language through a song... in the video we also get a love song. These two are such a great example of a loving relationship....we're so glad to bring them to you on KAXE/KBXE.

Nana Boozhoo and Natasha the stars of the show!

Today we learned ZAASAKOKWAAN BAAKWEZHIGAN.  The Ojibwe word for frybread.  There's even a recipe!  Thanks to Michael Lyons and his sidekicks Nana Boozhoo and Natasha for contributing their work to KAXE/KBXE.

On this back to school day it's good to think about the time of year we are in - whether it's Phenology with John Latimer or learning an Ojibwe word of the day, we are in a time of change.

In Ojibwe the word is WAATEBAGAA-GIIZIS - or Leaves Changing Moon. Check out the video podcast as well - and how cool these guys are - whether it's Natasha's piereced ears or their love of KISS, you can see it here!
