The Bonfire Chamber Music Festival has been bringing the heat of chamber music to venues all over Grand Rapids, MN this week.  We spoke about it on the morning show and had a blast! The concerts continue tonight and tomorrow night in Grand Rapids at the Reif Center!

Last week we had the chance to talk with visiting musicians who made up the 2nd Annual Bonfire Chamber Music Festival in Grand Rapids.  Mary Ellen Patnaude (Haupert) is originally from Grand Rapids and she is the brainchild of this intimate chamber music celebration in the woods of northern Minnesota.

Bonfires and stringed instruments go hand in hand... there's something familiar about that combination of a camp fire and a guitar or ukelele.  A group in Grand Rapids, MN is taking this notion to the next level adding chamber music to the mix with the first ever Bonfire Chamber Music Festival.  We spoke with Mary Ellen Haupert, Heidi Wick, Nancy Oliveros, and David Marty on the morning show about this unique, intimate and cultural phenomenon taking place in Grand Rapids July 27th and 28th at the Reif Center.
