Each year, the city of Grand Rapids recognizes businesses, organizations and individuals for their commitment to the arts through the Mayor’s Art Award.

GRAND RAPIDS — Itasca Life Options has a mission to empower and provide opportunities to people of all abilities.

The organization operates Dragonfly Coffee and a store called Crafted at the Central Square Mall in Grand Rapids.

Itasca Life Options was recently awarded the Grand Rapids Mayor's Art Award, receiving the community’s vote for their inspiring work in incorporating the arts into their mission of inclusion. The public votes each year to pick an individual or organization making a significant impact on the arts in the Grand Rapids area through support of local arts, organizations, programs and individual artists.

Representatives from the organization — Raessa, Eugene and Hannah, as well as Assistant Director Sonia Lindgaard — shared their excitement and passion for the award and the work they do.
