Here Comes the Sun Solar Tour from the Iron Range Partnership for Sustainability Heads to Grand Rapids on Wednesday August 11th at YMCA

This week we found out more about what local folks are doing when it comes to solar energy. The Here Comes the Sun project is put on by the Iron Range Partnership for Sustainability. The goal is to promote solar power in communities along Hwy 169, from Ely to Grand Rapids.

The project's focus in August will be on Itasca County, and will include a presentation by Solar United Neighbors at the YMCA on August 11th from 6-8pm. S.U.N. is a solar developer that bundles individual solar installations in a particular community or region in order to reduce costs.

Joining the Monday Morning Show conversation today were Bill Schnell, a Grand Rapids volunteer with IRPS and Bobby King - Program Manager at Solar United Neighbors for Minnesota.
