Supporting Grieving Parents at the Holidays - Kathleen Blake

John Bauer

Kathleen Blake from Grand Rapids joined us to talk about this time of the year, and how tough it can be for those who are grieving loved ones.  Especially those who have lost children.  It's a good reminder to find ways to be kind to those who are struggling at the holidays.

There are events going on in the Grand rapids area to help parents including:

A candlelight vigil for grieving parents at the Angel of Hope Park in Grand Rapids on the Mississippi River across from the YMCA at 7 p.m. A role call of names will be read. The memorial service will be followed by refreshments at River Grand Senior Living (great room) on River Road. The Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation handles pavers, donations and funding; for more information about that, call the foundation at 218-999-9100.
