Summer/Fall Pop-Up Restaurant in Ely: Moose Bear Wolf and Chef Bryan Morcom

www.timberjay.com

Last week we welcomed back Chef Bryan Morcom -

Chef Bryan Morcom is influenced by his personal history as a 5th generation Iron Ranger, his years as Chef de Cuisine at James Beard Award winning Restaurant Alma and his encounters with food as he biked south along the Mississippi River. Moose Bear Wolf is delighted to introduce and celebrate Northern flavors of the Iron Range, weaving a story that connects flavors throughout the world.

Bryan has created a pop-up restaurant this summer/fall in downtown Ely at the former location of the Chocolate Moose.  It's called Moose Bear Wolf and features New American Cuisine and things like these sandwiches:

Iron Range Po Boy:  crappie, remoulade, iceberg

Ojibwe: Manoomin burger, smoked gouda, Indian fry bread

Finndian: Wild rice meatloaf, Finnish squeaky cheese, Indian fry bread

Listen to our conversation here where Chef Bryan tells us that the best rhubarb in the world is grown on the Iron Range.
