Kristen Anderson is passionate about art's connection with the scientific world. On her Instagram page she says she connects environmental science and ecological wonders to people thru art. Her newest exhibit “Overstories” is on display in Aitkin at theRipple River Gallery. She’ll be giving an artist’s talk Satrday at 1pm at theRipple River Gallery as part of their yearly Fall Open House and Wild and Free benefit for the Wild and Free Animal Rehabilitation Center.
We spoke with her on the morning show about her felt work, how her technique has changed and how felt and old growth forests are a good combination.
In addition to Anderson's artist's talk, attendee's will have the opportunity to watch a raptor release, take a studio and gallery tour, walks thru the woods, and even a tree giveaway.
