Marshall Helmberger and the Border News Roundup: Another Unprecedented Week

Marshall Helmberger is our regular guest on the Friday Morning Show. Marshall is editor and publisher of the Timberjay newspaper, serving northestern Minnesota. This morning he talked with Northern Community Radio's News and Public Affairs Director, Heidi Holtan, about this incredible week in Minnesota and World History.

In this episode, Marshall and Heidi discuss the gravity of Covid-19, its developments and projections.  Marshall considers health and economic impacts as well as the importance of information gathering, positive media, cultivating connections and outdoor activities.  He also reports on the sale of the B'nai Abraham Synagogue in Virginia, a building listed on the National Historic Register.  The building will soon become a community gathering space and home to the Northern Lights Music Festival.  And of course, Marshall fills us in on Polymet.

We are in uncharted territory these days, but we're charting it together.  Tune in next week when we check in with Marshall and consider the view from there.
