Madrigal Dinners Transport Guests to an Elizabethan Holiday Feast

For 50 years, Bemidji State University students have transported guests of the dinner theater, madrigal experience to the holiday happenings of the 16th century.  This year's events will be the last of the annual Madrigal Dinners, but that's not to say they will never happen again.  BSU Professor, Director of Choral Activities and Producer of the Madrigal Dinners, Dr. Dwight Jilek, stopped by the KBXE studio to chat about this special holiday phenomenon and what the future holds in terms of BSU choral experiences and the Madrigal Dinners.  Joining Jilek in the studio were King and Queen of the Madrigal Dinners, Ian Trosen and Lindsay Marketon.  Trosen and Marketon shared their thoughts on preparation for the event and what they love about the experience.  Tickets are still available for the Madrigal Dinners which will be held at Concordia Language Villages this weekend and next.  For information on tickets, call 218-755-3406 or check out the Bemidji State University website.
