Hackensack, MN has a population of just over 300 people - it's a small town with a big personality. Learn all about it in the following segments! 

Kris Beissener moved to Hackensack after she and her mother purchased a resort.  She's never looked back.  Today, she raises her family in this small, progressive community.  Kris is on the board of the Hackensack Lakes Area Community Foundation.  In this segment of Let's Visit, she discusses Hackensack bike trails, restaurants,  and upcoming community projects!  

Kiki Carter Webb is part of Dancing Light, a music group made up of herself, her husband Greg, and their son Sebastian.  She's hosted the annual Peace Concert each December for 11 years.   She's also founded a Kokoro, a performing arts school in Hackensack, MN.  In this segment she discusses the Peace Concert and how Covid has challenged Kokoro to re-think lessons and students connections.

Katie Carter started at Northern Community Radio in 2008 as Managing Editor of the station's grant-funded, online news experiment Northern Community Internet. She returned for a second stint in 2016-23. She produced Area Voices showcasing the arts, culture, and history stories of northern Minnesota.
