Khalid Hosseini’s novels, The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns are known for being heartbreaking, yet beautiful stories, and they're two of community member Arnold Dahl Wooley’s favorite books. Arnold is the owner of the Big Winnie Store in Bena, he’s also a public speaker and LGBTQ/Two Spirit advocate. He says The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns are heart-wrenching stories that make us reflect on our own childhood and what we all have in common despite differences in race, class, and culture.
