part 1 of the conversation of the pandemic and protests and the racial divide with Aaron and Chuck
I rely on Aaron and Chuck to connect the past with the present in our Dig Deep conversations. Our hope is that listening to this conversation will lead YOU to conversations with the people you care about. Email us your thoughts.
On our extended hour of the Thursday Morning Show, Heidi Holtan hosts a conversation on Dig Deep with our conservative commentator Chuck Marohn and liberal Aaron Brown. They talk about this time of pandemic and the state of the world. Sign up for the Dig Deep podcast!
Filmmaker Karl Jacob and author Aaron Brown take a road-trip-movie style journey through time to unlock the mystery of their hometown of Hibbing, Minnesota. They find a dynamic mayor named Victor Power who left few traces after his mysterious death almost a century ago. His political ghost still haunts an opulent, castle-like high school in the middle of the wilderness and reveals a story of America that has never been told before.
Today on our extra hour of the Morning Show we talked with Aaron Brown. Aaron is an instructor at Hibbing Community College, he writes the blog Minnesota Brown, is a cohost of Dig Deep on KAXE/KBXE as well as being a dad and all around good guy. We covered a lot - from school to kids to sisters to iron mining to restaurants and a whole lot more. Stay connected with us - COVID-19 is a whole new world and connection thru radio and online media can help.
I live within walking distance of Minneapolis Police Precinct.
I have been onsite peacefully protesting everyday this week. I have been shot at with rubber bullets, tear gassed, hit with percussion bombs and watched people hit with “soft” bullets (see below). I’ve seen the police advance on citizens using violence and intimidation.
