Border News Roundup: Broadband in Cook, Iron Range Delegation and the Ely Art Walk

Each Friday morning we hear news from northeastern Minnesota when Marshall Helmberger joins Heidi Holtan for Border News Roundup.  This week Marshall shares news on a project underway to bring broadband network to the city of Cook by Paul Bunyan Communications with help from the state Border-to-Border Broadband Development grant program.

Marshall also informs us that the members of the Iron Range Delegation are reaching out with a letter to U.S. Rep. Deb Haaland, Biden’s pick for Interior Secretary, and Tom Vilsack, who has been tapped as Agriculture Secretary, in hopes to keep communications open over land management and mineral rights on the Range.

Although the Ely Winter Fest will be scaled back this year, the Ely Art Walk will take place with artists displaying their work in downtown business windows.  For information on these stories and others in NE Minnesota go totimberjay.com.
