Here are some live music options for Friday and Saturday this weekend, including an Indigenous music festival, summer concert series kickoff, and a brand new band from Bemidji.
The Anishinaabe Arts & Music Fest is coming to Cass Lake this weekend. Hosted by KOJB, a community radio station owned and operated by the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe, the festival is headlined by blues rock group Indigenous and country singer Hadley. It will also feature Minnesota musicians Corey Medina & Brothers, Annie Humphrey, David Huckfelt and many more. Music begins at 11 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
Smoke on the Water in Coleraine recently added an outdoor stage and will be hosting live music Saturdays at 5 p.m. throughout the summer. Duo Brothers Burn Mountain will be kicking off the series this weekend.
In Park Rapids, Charley Wagner and Debbie Center are playing Wine Not? at 6:30 p.m. Saturday night. Wagner is an Americana singer-songwriter from Longville who also performs with Forge. Center is a classically trained pianist with a love for 70s rock and roll.
